中国当代版画大展旨在集中展现我国当代版画的优秀作品。在综述中国当代版画的现状，并将中国当代版画置于艺术发展史和国际当代艺术的大背景下，从时间和空间两个向度对中国当代版画进行了学术性和实验性的探讨。选择视角注重具有当代性和创新性的作品，特别突出本土当代艺术的存在价值，对于当代版画艺术的前景有极强的指向性和预见性。中国版画家对版画的当代性发展始终保持着积极的探索热忱。筹办这次学术性和实验性并重的展览，就是尊重近年来有关当代版画实践的成果和经验，秉持原创与创新的态度，通过创作、研讨和展出，以期引领中国当代版画的发展。

The Chinese Contemporary Printmaking Exhibition aims to show the outstanding works of contemporary printmaking. Against the background of art history development and international contemporary art, we discuss Chinese Contemporary Printmaking academically and experimentally from two dimensions of time and space. This exhibition emphasises more

contemporary and innovative works, in particularly, to highlight the value of local contemporary art. These have a very strong predictive indication of the future direction of contemporary art.

Chinese print artists always maintained an active enthusiasm in exploring the development of print making. Today Art Museum respects art achievements and experience related to contemporary printing practice.We are holding this exhibition which is both academic and experimental following that principle of originality and innovation. We are organizing it with a view to leading the development of contemporary Chinese printmaking through creation, study and display.
