“敢于直面人生，不回避人间的苦难，并用一种非常温柔的、同情的眼光注视着他周围的人和事，同时又很敏锐地用幽默的笔调加以刻画。他的作品不但具有幽默感、亲切感，还具有十分的真实性和震撼力。诉说着无限的人性之美。”这是人们对摄影师王刚锋先生的评价。
王刚锋生于50年代末的上海，少年时适逢文化大革命，艰苦的生活使他决心自学摄影，用镜头记录百态人生。80年代末，他凭借出色的摄影作品在加拿大成功举办多次影展，引起强烈反响。90年代初，定居加拿大后他坚持不懈地创作，作品多次获得国际摄影大奖。1991年，他被加拿大的PHOTOLIFE杂志评选为最杰出的25位摄影师之一；1994年在美国著名杂志《快门迷》举办的国际摄影大赛中，他的作品获专业一等奖；同年，获得英国“百龄坛”国际摄影大赛冠军(其作品“孺子牛”从来自56个国家的12000张参赛作品中脱颖而出)；1995年又荣获“百龄坛”国际摄影大赛第二、三等奖；18幅作品被瑞士博物馆永久收藏；雀巢咖啡公司收购全世界艺术珍品60件，他占了2件。毋庸置疑，他已是一位当仁不让的世界级的摄影大师。

Gangfeng Wang was among the first in Shanghai to make his living as a freelance photographer who was born in 1956. His work was noticed in a hotel gift shop in 1986 by a Canadian visitor to Shanghai, who arranged for an exhibition of his work in Montreal. Since 1989, his works have been exhibited throughout North America. He has traveled extensively throughout China capturing simple, but striking images of everyday life. In reference to work, Wang says “I always wanted to be a photographer, to celebrate the extraordinary beauty of people in China.”
