展览前言: 七巧板是一种拼图游戏，由一个正方体分割出来的七块几何色板组成，通过拼凑、组合可以砌出过千的图案。由七巧板拼出的图案是一轮廓表征，它所钩勒的是事物的边界，一种简化而深刻的印象。像绘画与摄影在媒体的历史意义下它是带含一种被经验归纳而可理解的视觉语言(visual language)，艺术家在特定的二度平面的空间中展现他们独一的思考与锐觉。虽然当代艺术发展至今日己不存在所谓媒体意义的问题，跨媒界/超文本/违规/犬儒/否定/拒绝…多元无而定向的特质令艺术走向无边的领域。但通过不同的艺术家的能量注入单纯的创作媒仍然表现出无极的可能。
Tangram is puzzling game, including seven pieces of geometric dissections which are separated from a square. It can compose and piece up to over 1,000 Graphics. Every graphics from tangram is presented as a contour of objects, a characteristic outline as well. It is simply but has left deep impression abstract from people cognition. Painting and photography as well, are presenting an apprehensible visual language which is generalized from people experiences and historical denotation of medium. Artists express their unique thinking and perspective through the two dimension canvas’s area.
Comprehensively looking at the resent development, contemporary art is successively nothing to the medium itself. Cross-media, hyper-text, cynic, refuse, rejecting the rule…seems to place the art itself to be a diverse and multi-position on the way to an illuminable area. Even so, through different artist’s creative energy injection, a pure media can still display an infinite possibility.
