序
水墨,既是有着文化历史记忆与感知深度的材质,也是自然与人性整体性互动的灵媒,水墨的现代性尽管遇到了挑战,但在混杂现代性的处境中,它一直保持着自我更新的活力,并且尝试在个体与历史、艺术与生命、传统与国际之间,寻找着新的道路,水墨艺术可以为中国艺术家提供结合视觉与心觉的艺术表达,可以在当代艺术的危机中寻找到某条可能的道路。
正是秉承此水墨当代化与国际化的追求,以及文化生命意志的现代性转化表达,来自北京的“艺术粮仓”,在过去几年持续探索着当代水墨的学术性、现代性与国际化,做出了“虚色美学Chinese Infra-color Aesthetics”与“字象艺术Character image Art”等重要的系列展览,与很多优秀的水墨艺术家进行了密切的合作,结合了老中青三代的不同经验与艺术语言。本次艺术粮仓联合深圳雅昌艺术馆举办的水墨大展,既是一次学术性的汇报,也是一次水墨新开端的呈现。
进入2020年之后的水墨艺术,需要一个新的方向,一个端正的生命态度,就是生命的正确态度,这就是让水墨艺术回到生命的内在关切,这是多重关心的整合:关心水墨与生命内心情感的关系,关心时代技术化的趋势,关心艺术与生命魂魄的关联,只有在此丰富的多维关心中,才可能为水墨打开新的局面。艺术粮仓致力于将中国水墨艺术融入当代语境,秉承严谨治学的态度,系统呈现当代水墨艺术的东方哲学思维与水墨性,释放其国际性,以及所具备的未来的可能。
本次展览的艺术家,其作品基本上是2020以来创作的作品,让我们看到了他们面对生命的脆弱与艺术的难度,在黑度与静冷,在沉着与尖锐,在诗意与浩瀚,在厚重与轻盈,在绘画与装置,等等之间,形成了内在的深度对话,打开了生命经验的内在场域,这是灵魂的对话,这是魂魄的交流。
Ink and wash is not only an unique material encompassing a wide range of cultural and historical memories and personal perceptions, but also a spiritual medium for the holistic interaction between nature and humanity. Ink art, although faced with challenges in the contemporary age, always has the vitality for self-renewal and always tries to find a possible path between individual and history, art and life and tradition and internationality. Ink art can provide Chinese artists with an expression of visuality and mentality, and can point out a promising path facing the crisis of contemporary art.
To pursue a more contemporary and international ink art, as well as a modern transformation of culture and life, the Art Granary from Beijing has explored the academic, modern and international aspects of ink art and has held good exhibitions like Chinese Infra-Color Aesthetics and Character image Art, cooperating with many outstanding ink art artists of all ages with different personal experiences and artistic languages. The ink art exhibition at Artron Art Museum in Shenzhen is both an academic report and a new start of ink painting. After 2020, Ink art needs a new direction and a proper attitude towards life, i.e., a correct attitude towards life to bring ink art back to the innermost concern of life, which include many concerns, such as a concern for the relationship between ink and the innermost feeling, a concern for the trend of technology at this time and a concern for the connection between art and souls. Only with these comprehensive concerns is it possible for ink art to have a new start. Art Granary devotes to integrate Chinese ink painting into the contemporary context, adhering to the rigorous principle of academic research, systematically presenting the oriental philosophical thinking and quality of ink painting, releasing its internationality and future possibilities.
Works in this exhibition, which were basically created after 2020, present us the fragility of life and the difficulty of art facing the artists, begin an inner dialogue and create an inner space of experiences between blackness and chillness, between composure and sharpness, between poetry and vastness, between heaviness and lightness, between painting and installation, and so on. It is a communication between souls.
