据外国媒体报道，美国当地时间5月14日晚，2013年黑人娱乐大奖(BET Awards)提名名单揭晓，加拿大说唱歌手德雷克（Drake）以12项提名领跑，成为今年获得最多提名的歌手。今年黑人娱乐颁奖礼将于美国时间6月30日晚举行，人气歌手克里斯·布朗（Chris Brown）以及R&B天王R.Kelly当晚将作为首批表演嘉宾登台献唱。
加拿大说唱歌手Drake凭借热门作品《No Lie》分别获得最佳合唱、最佳说唱男歌手以及最佳音乐录像带等12项提名，而和Drake合唱《No Lie》的饶舌歌手2 Chainz以及肯德里克·拉马尔(Kendrick Lamar)则分别以8项提名紧随其后。至于今年竞争最为激烈的最佳合唱提名歌手还包括：A$AP Rocky的《F---in' Problems》、French Montana 的《Pop That》、Kendrick Lamar 的《Poetic Justice》、贾斯汀·汀布莱克(Justin Timberlake) 联手Jay-Z的《Suit &Tie》以及坎耶·维斯特（Kanye West）的《Mercy》。
今年除了Drake、2 Chainz以及肯德里克·拉马尔(Kendrick Lamar)在提名奖项有出色表现外，说唱新人A$AP Rocky和Roc Nation唱片公司的创始人Jay-Z也以超高人气一口气拿下5个奖项提名。而今年刚刚复出乐坛的贾斯汀·汀布莱克和Miguel则以4项提名紧随其后。就此，黑人娱乐大奖主席斯蒂芬·希尔(Stephen Hill)昨日也在声明中表示：“今年入围的所有歌手和表演嘉宾为我们展现了当今乐坛不俗的音乐才华，他们用摇滚传达世界无穷的正能力。”
