由中国美术馆、朱铭美术馆共同主办的“2010朱铭人间系列雕塑展”，将于2010年7月18日在中国美术馆开幕，并举行“2010朱铭人间系列雕塑展”学术研讨会。凡对此次学术研讨会感兴趣的社会各界人士均可报名参加，中国美术馆将为与会者免去门票。

朱铭艺术简介：
1938年出生于台湾苗栗的朱铭，原名朱川泰。早年家中贫困，小学毕业后为谋生计，拜师李金川，学习佛像雕刻，在这里奠定了传统技法的基础。曾在基隆开设店面，累积了雕刻的经历和经营的技巧。后成为雕塑家杨英风入室的第子。在杨英风台北市的工作室学习近7年，杨英风为他重新取名朱铭。他的作品获得国际艺坛的注目和轰动。为享誉当代国际艺坛之雕塑家，创作主题“乡土系列”、“太极系列”、“人间系列”为其创作历程中之三大主轴。2010年于北京中国美术馆展出“朱铭人间系列雕塑展”，回顾发展迄今已逾三十年的“人间系列”创作。以人间百态为题材，深刻描绘其所见、所感的人间与生活；并以多元材质进行创作及尝试，叙说材质语汇之美。迄今，朱铭仍持续发展以人间为题之作品，在艺术道途上不断自我挑战，并落实“艺术即修行”之创作美学观。
