反馈（feedback），是控制论的一个基本概念，用于描述系统与环境之间相互作用的动态过程，在此引作展题，旨在提示后全球化时代条件下，我们身居其间的一种日常化的回路现象，一方面它体现在生活方式层面，另一方面它也显露在意识形态层面，两方面都涉及到全球化与在地性之间的现代性思辨之议题——相较于屈折迂回的历史化叙述，作为展览的“反馈”，凸显的是具有生命感的艺术家个体，跨越既定身份与现实界域，自我开放之后所感受到的世界普遍性，以及对主体性的重新确认。同时，展览作为一种现实性的反馈机制，也在表明展览所在机构“GESSOISLAND/”的文化愿景，即通过向世界的开放，以此逾越沈阳城市标签化的文化氛围，在地寻求更多新的可能性。

“Feedback” is a fundamental concept in cybernetics used to describe the dynamic interaction between system and environment. As the theme of this exhibition, it recalls the circuitry that has become our daily life in the post-globalisation world. On one hand, it is manifest in our lifestyles, and on the other, in our ideologies. Both aspects are involved in the modern discourse on globalisation and locality. Juxtaposed against the twists and turns of the historical narrative, the exhibition’s own “feedback” highlights the vivid individuality of our artists, transcending the constraints of identity and reality, the universal ubiquity felt only after opening oneself, and a reconfirmation of subjectivity. At the same time, the exhibition serves as a feedback mechanism grounded in reality, expressing GESSOISLAND’s ideals of opening up to the world, breaking through Shenyang’s label-dominated cultural scene, and finding new possibilities among local artists.
