About Niu Ann

Born in Shanghai, Niu Ann graduated from the Fine Arts College of Shanghai University and later studied interior design in Japan. In 1997, she went on sabbatical to Korea to study Contemporary Art there as well as the cultural route that art has taken amongst China; Japan & Korea. A year later, Ann then relocated to the United States to develop her understanding of Western Art and how it could be integrated into her own work. She then returned to Shanghai in 2000 to establish her own studio and begin experimenting in various media. To date, Ann has held a number of solo exhibitions as well as participated in collaborative exhibitions in both China and abroad. Her works have been collected and displayed by organisations such as Adidas; China Post, HSBC Private Bank, the National Museum of Singapore and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, as well as by private collectors from Belgium, France, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and the United States.

牛安出生于上海，1989年毕业于上海大学美术学院，而后留学日本攻读室内设计。1997年旅居韩国开始从事绘画创作，研究中国、日本及韩国之间的文化同源和差异。1998年移居美国从事艺术创作并进一步吸取西方艺术的养分。2000年回国在上海创立工作室，从事多媒介艺术创作活动。至今，牛安已经在国内外多次举办个人作品展和参加联合展览，作品被香港上海汇丰私人银行、中国邮政、奥美公关国际集团、阿迪达斯、新加坡国立美术馆等公共机构收藏以及来自法国、比利时、荷兰、美国、香港等地的私人收藏家收藏。
