UCCA正在进行的邱志杰个展《破冰》中，有30幅巨大尺寸的水墨画作品悬挂在展厅南墙，是艺术家写给自己刚出生的女儿邱家瓦的30封信。这些信中饱含着一位父亲对女儿未来人生态度的寄托与希望。在这次工作坊中，我们将邀请艺术家带领孩子和家长共同走近这些巨幅的水墨画，在欣赏艺术的同时，推敲人生的真谛。

Art-Activated: Artists' Workshops for Families at UCCA I: A letter to my parents – with guest artist Qiu Zhijie

UCCA is pleased to invite Qiu Zhijie to host the first in a series of artists' workshops for the family, based on the artwork 30 Letters to Qiu Jiawathat forms part of the artist's solo exhibition Breaking through the Iceat UCCA. On each of the thirty ink paintings Qiu Zhijie has written a line or verse dedicated to his newborn daughter Qiu Jiawa, expressing the hopes and feelings of a father towards a young child. In this workshop Qiu Zhijie will explain the paintings to families and how an appreciation of art can help in one's personal life.

Directors and curators of major American and European museums and art institutions, who have deep and long relations with contemporary art in Asia, are invited to this panel. Starting from their personal experiences, perspectives, and exhibitions on contemporary art in Asia, the lectures would examine and analyze how contemporary art from Asia has been presented abroad in the recent years.
